You're 21, unemployed, and feeling like life has passed you by. But when your dad gives you a VR system for your birthday, everything changes. Your childhood friend Sara is back in town, and she's got something incredible to show you: Aetheria, a virtual world where players can conquer territories, build empires, and live out their wildest fantasies.
But there's a dark side to this digital paradise. An evil player known as the King has found a way to trap people in the game, preventing them from logging out. As you explore this new world with Sara as your guide, you'll need to build a team, grow stronger, and prepare for the ultimate confrontation.
Note: This is a super early release used purely to get feedback on the pacing, story and general features of the game. This is a tiny percent of even the first chapter.
There will be bugs, typos and bad bits of story but I wanted to post a short early version of chapter 1 to get general feelings for the game.
Everything and I mean everything is subject to change with this first version of the game. Do not get attached to characters.

Tried out the game, cough, prototype, lol. An interesting start, setting the pre-base, since the base I'm guessing will be when the MMC has his first session in the VR game.
The art is cute, is it AI-generated? No complaints about it, although Brittany's more serious facial expression seemed a bit weird, like a bit out of context considering the dialogue. But that's just a minor thing.
Beyond that, not much to tell over so little yet. One thing in particular that I really appreciated is Sara's monologue at the end, you presented perfectly the reasons for her own doubts in herself (dork? loser? as if! plus, she's, you know, a BABE! lol, just kidding). This definitely helps in setting the mood, both the main and the secondary characters involved in the soon-to-be main plot start out as two individuals that are going and have gone through a tough period on their lives and are a bit down on their own self-esteem, thus creating a potential relationship (either romantic or not) where either can help the other push and overcome the obstacles. Common, but it works! :-p
Any way, it's an interesting start, going to follow, I'm looking forward to see how this project will be developed.

Yep, the next part will be MC actually getting into VR and learning the world around him. Parts of the art are AI generated yeah, I actually wasn't super happy with Brittany either, I do have replacement art for her but it didn't make it in this release or I would have spent forever on it haha!
